Key to a successful usage of Q-Checker is an appropriate check profile; not only that the right checks are activated, but also the right weighting of the checks activated. The error reports are just valuable reflecting relevant problems or CAD standards. User acceptance is crucial to guarantee a roll out of a new solution. Users will just accept a reliable, easy to use solution that supports them with process relevant information.

Check profiles are provided by the major OEMs to ensure that supplier can work according to their PDQ requirements from the very beginning of the design process. But supplier have their own standards, that should to be followed. And supplier that sometimes deliver poor quality data. For suppliers or companies that are not involved in a global supply chain, it is very beneficial to work on a company specific check profile.

Transcat PLM offers support for the development of a sophisticated check profile. Experienced consultants help to analyze the CAD design and downstream processes according to the requirements for PDQ. Here an overview of the fields that can be covered by Q-Checker and should be analyzed while a check profile is designed.
